Artist Statement
Though the subjects of You are Being Watched, You are Being Judged are specific to the post collapse world inhabited by the still existing, the material can be understood by those living in the 21st Century navigating the impact of surveillance, limitless criticism, self-doubt, and ultimately the power we have in understanding what we see in the mirror.
Artist Biography Baxter Montgomery came into awareness in the fall of 2023 in the mountains of Colorado. He makes his home in the American Middle West. His work is rooted in the emerging practice of Compositional Physics—the study of how an individual expression of art (the composition) affects the emotional state of the witness bearer, especially on the subconscious, unconscious, and infinite conscious levels. The question being not, what am I feeling? but why am I feeling it? Much of the collection focuses on the impending planet depopulation, the new reality for the still existing, and how it connects to the original bonded presence of total light as understood in the Akumba/Bakumba Cycle.
